The chauffeur meets the family at the confirmed Rome address for an early departure. The opening drive is part of the twelve-hour service, so comfort, child seats and one practical stop are planned before the route begins.
As Lazio becomes Tuscany, the visual language changes: cultivated hills, stone farmhouses and towns held above the landscape. The chauffeur protects arrival timing in Siena rather than adding unconfirmed roadside detours.

The chauffeur reaches the closest authorized point and the family continues on foot into Siena’s protected historic center. The walk is part of the experience: contrada symbols, narrow views and warm brick prepare the reveal of Piazza del Campo.
Time in the piazza should include stillness. The Torre del Mangia, Palazzo Pubblico and fan-shaped pavement deserve more than a photograph made while checking the next departure time.
Family tip: Siena has slopes and paving. Tell us about wheelchairs, walking aids or stroller needs before the nearest viable meeting point is selected.

Siena Cathedral is a deliberate choice, not an automatic inclusion. The appropriate official product depends on date, opening calendar and how much of the wider complex the family genuinely wants to visit.
Guests who prefer the living town can keep this time outdoors among the Duomo façade, small lanes and a relaxed coffee. The route gains quality by choosing rather than trying to complete every component of a multi-site pass.
Approximately 45–90 minutes according to the selected official admission product.

A concentrated encounter with Tuscan art, followed by the contrast of stepping back into the living medieval city.

A realistic lunch window is protected between Siena and San Gimignano. The exact restaurant, agriturismo or estate is selected around route, opening day, dietary needs and confirmed reservation—not from a generic list disconnected from the journey.
A winery tasting or farm experience is possible only when arranged in advance and quoted separately. It changes the available town time, so it must be chosen as a priority rather than added casually on the service day.

Approach the skyline of medieval towers
San Gimignano is experienced after the busiest morning arrival period whenever the confirmed route allows. From the authorized vehicle point, the family walks through the gates toward Piazza della Cisterna, Piazza del Duomo and selected viewpoints.
The chapter can remain an atmospheric town walk or include one civic admission. The choice is made before the day so the final hours do not become a race between towers, museums and shopping.
Family tip: tower climbs are optional; a grandparent and child can enjoy the piazzas together while other guests choose additional steps.

The return begins at the time fixed in the written program, allowing for the real distance to Rome. The chauffeur monitors traffic and chooses the responsible route instead of using the final hour for an unconfirmed extra village.
A practical comfort stop can be made when needed. Arrival is targeted at the confirmed Rome address around the end of the twelve-hour service, with any material extension discussed before it occurs.

The written proposal confirms vehicle, twelve-hour service, pickup, town sequence and any prearranged admission or table. The public tariff remains per private vehicle, not per guest.
The published twelve-hour price covers Rome pickup and return, the confirmed chauffeur vehicle, waiting time, fuel, standard tolls and parking under the approved conditions. It is never a per-person rate.
Admissions, guide and lunch+
Siena Cathedral products, San Gimignano civic tickets, licensed guides, meals, drinks, tastings and restaurant or estate deposits are excluded unless the written proposal explicitly includes them.
Restricted centers and walking+
Siena and San Gimignano are protected pedestrian hill towns. The chauffeur uses authorized access points; slopes, paving and steps remain part of the experience. Mobility information can change the chosen loop and meeting point.
Wineries and route extensions+
A winery or farm visit must be selected and confirmed in advance. It replaces part of the town or lunch time. Additional villages, longer tastings or service beyond twelve hours require a separate quotation.
How long is the Tuscany day trip from Rome?+
Plan approximately 12 hours. It is an ambitious private day with an early departure, realistic driving time and focused visits in Siena and San Gimignano.
Can a winery or tasting be added?+
Yes, when arranged in advance. A tasting replaces part of the sightseeing time and its availability and cost are confirmed separately.
Are lunch, tickets and a licensed guide included?+
They are not included unless specifically stated in the written proposal. The chauffeur and private vehicle remain available according to the confirmed itinerary.
