A vehicle cannot be selected from the passenger number alone. Luggage, route, comfort, historic-center access and the amount of time spent together all affect the safe and practical configuration. Most importantly, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter name does not describe one universal seating and baggage capacity.

S-Class or V-Class?
The S-Class provides a refined rear-cabin environment for VIP arrivals, business travel and private journeys. It is normally considered for one or two passengers whose luggage fits the confirmed vehicle. Adding several large suitcases can make a V-Class the more responsible choice even when only two guests are travelling.
The V-Class offers easier access and more flexible cabin and luggage space for families and small groups. It is not, however, an unlimited luggage van. Six passengers with light bags and six cruise passengers with large cases are two different operating requirements.
Our Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is an 8-passenger vehicle
The Roma Limo Services Sprinter shown in the real fleet is configured for a maximum of eight passengers plus the chauffeur. Its luggage capacity is confirmed for each journey. It must not be quoted as a 13-passenger vehicle simply because other Sprinter body styles exist elsewhere in the market.
A request for 13 travelers and 13 regular-size suitcases therefore exceeds this configuration. Our practical proposal is normally two Mercedes-Benz V-Class vehicles, after the exact size and number of all bags have been checked.
Why we do not offer coaches as a standard solution
Roma Limo Services does not own or operate buses and coaches, and we do not present them as part of our standard chauffeur fleet. Once passenger and luggage requirements exceed our Sprinter, the alternative is not merely “a slightly bigger van.” It becomes a different group-transport category with different vehicles, operating rules and passenger experience.
A large coach may have many more nominal seats than the party needs because a commercially available licensed configuration and sufficient luggage capacity must be considered together. Its price can include a specialist operator, driver-duty rules, municipal permits, paid access, parking and route limitations. A standard Sprinter tariff cannot be applied to it.
Why chauffeur-driven vans often work better in Italian cities
Across Italy, bus access is regulated locally. Many destinations use limited-traffic zones, coach checkpoints, advance permits, paid access schemes, time windows, designated passenger stops and authorized parking areas. The exact rules change by municipality, vehicle and itinerary.
In Rome and historic towns such as Orvieto, Lucca and Siena, many central streets are pedestrianized, restricted, too narrow or otherwise unavailable to large vehicles. A coach may have to leave passengers at a designated area outside the center and park elsewhere. This can add walking, reconnection time and inconvenience—especially for guests with limited mobility or tight schedules.
Permit and parking costs can be substantial, and the apparent saving of using one vehicle can disappear once those charges and access compromises are included. Two V-Class vehicles may provide easier passenger distribution, safer luggage separation, closer legal drop-off and more flexibility when traffic or plans change. The final recommendation depends on the complete route rather than a simple price-per-seat comparison.
Describe every item before the vehicle is confirmed
“Four passengers” or “thirteen suitcases” is not enough. State whether bags are cabin, medium or large size and include personal bags, strollers, folding wheelchairs, golf equipment and any oversized item. If more luggage will be collected during the journey, add it to the total from the beginning.
